Behaviour Policy Change

Dear Parent / Carer

Recently concerns have been raised regarding some swimmers behaviour during land training sessions, including arriving late. Unfortunately poor behaviour can have a negative impact on the training of all the swimmers as well as being disrespectful for the coach running the sessions and, as such, cannot be, tolerated. As a result, the Committee have agreed to introduce a zero tolerance policy during land training sessions, which will mean that any poor behaviour during land training sessions will result in the swimmer being asked to leave the session immediately. This has been recorded in the minutes which are now published on the club's website - http://www.soundwellswim.org.uk/about/documents. Removed swimmers will be asked to remain in the centre until they are able to be collected, in line with club safeguarding policy.

We respectfully direct you to point 1 of the Swimmers Code of Conduct document in the "About" section of the Soundwell Swimming club website and ask that you remind your swimmer of this Code of Conduct and ensure their understanding of the no tolerance policy which will begin during Land training sessions from 3 April 2017. We apologise that this email is being sent out subsequent to this change being enforced.

Please be assured that we shall be reviewing this matter closely and on a regular basis.

If you do have any comments or concerns regarding this matter please do not hesitate to contact the Club Secretary, who will ensure that your concerns are escalated appropriately.

Kind regards

The Soundwell Swimming Club Committee
