| Tigersharks Separated Medley Meet - 27th July 2008 A team of 21 swimmers travelled to the Link Centre in Swindon for this end of season meet. The swimmers were: Jayden Cole, Will Cole, Danny Pirret, Oliver Williams, Nathan John, Jack Tyers, Finn McEvoy, Jake Bayly, Will Harrison, Lewis Jefferies, Ross Britton, Maddie Barnett, Evie Reed, Molly Wilson, Bronwen Choules, Rachel Jefferies, Lauren Bryant, Georgia Pirret, Megan Choules, Faith Williams & Anna Britton. Swimmers swam 50m on each stroke and the fastest 6 from each age group competed in a 100m (9 years) or 200m (10, 11, 12, 13, 14&over) Individual Medley final. Results from finals were as follows: Evie Reed - 9yrs - 1st, Bronwen Choules - 10yrs - 6th, Georgia Pirret - 11yrs - 3rd, Jayden Cole - 9yrs - 3rd, Will Cole - 9yrs - 6th(30sec penalty for disqualification), Jake Bayly - 12yrs - 4th, Will Harrison - 13yrs - 3rd, Ross Britton - 14&over - 3rd. | Sprint Night - 25th July 2008 Congratulations to all those who competed at Sprint Night, for many it was their first taste of competition and hopefully they gained an insight into what happens at open meets and galas. There were lots of PB's swam and lots of improvement was shown. A special mention to Alex Haines who took lots of time off of his PB's to win his heat in every event, due to his increased training. | Diddy Gala - 12th July 2008 Well done to all swimmers who competed in this gala at Horfield, with many swimming in their first ever gala - Ara Wilson, Megan Height, Amelia Baker, Megan Thomson, Jack Day, Ryan Hanney, & Charlie Hennys who only left Learn to Swim one week ago and managed to hold on to achieve victory for the 9 year old boys relay team. We finished in third position behind strong teams from Keynsham and Southwold. Overall, we had a lot of good performances with the exception of three disqualifications from first place! | Mini Series - 5th July 2008 The 4th round of this years mini series was held at Keynsham on Saturday evening. The team swam fantastically well and won 24 of the races. The efforts in training are starting to show with every swimmer showing considerable improvements. | Cartwright Trophy Gala - 28th June 2008 Soundwell finished a good second behind a very strong Keynsham team and just in front of Thornbury. | Gloucester Open Meet - 21st June 2008 Well done to all swimmers who participated in this meet at GL1, Gloucester, in which a number of medals were won. Medals Maddie Ager - GOLD - 100m & 200m Breaststroke Nick John - SILVER - 200m Freestyle, BRONZE - 100m Freestyle, 200m Breaststroke (6 PB's) Oliver Williams - GOLD - 200 IM, BRONZE - 200m Freestyle, SPEEDING TICKET - 100m Backstroke!!! ------------------------------ Also, well done to Nathan John who swam well with PB's in all 6 of his events and would have finished 3rd in 200m Breaststroke but was disqualified. Well done to Faith Williams who also competed in this meet. Good luck to Nick John who is leaving the club. |

ASA South West Age Group Championships - 7th & 8th June The following swimmers competed at the first weekend of this regional competition: Georgia Pirret, Luke Murray & Bea Reed. The following positions were obtained: Bea Reed - 400 IM - 9th, 100 Back - 16th. Georgia Pirret - 100 Breast - 10th. Luke Murray - 400 IM - 8th. | Bristol North Open Meet 2008 - 20th & 27th September 2008 Forms are with your squad rep. This meet is for 9,10,11 and 12 year olds and is an ideal gala for all abilities. | ASA South West Youth Championships - 3rd/5th May 2008 Congratulations to Michael Graham on achieving the National qualifying time for 800m Freestyle whilst winning his age group at this weekends championships. Well done also to Daniel Davies on his 1st place in the 100m back. There were other good swims from Charlotte Bryant in the 100 and 200m Breast finishing in 6th and 4th places respectively and Anna Britton on 9th -200 fly,10th -800 free and 11th in the 400 free. |

| Gloucester Blocks relays - 30th March 2008 Congratulations to all those who swam at the weekend , they were medal successes for the 9/10 boys and girls , the 11/12 boys, 13/14 boys and girls, 15/16 boys and the mixed 17 and over team. .A special mention for Oliver Williams who was phoned at 6am on sunday morning to replace a sick team mate Oliver accepted without hesitation and returned with two silver medals . |  |
| Weston Easter Open Meet - 22nd/23rd March 2008 Congratulations to all swimmers who took part in this meet. Behaviour was exceptional & all swimmers were a credit to the club. Several medals were won by a number of different swimmers. Special mention to Georgia Pirret who achieved her first Western Counties time in the 100m Breaststroke. | Gloucester Blocks - 23rd / 24th February 2008 This weekend of the blocks proved to be even more successful than the previous one. There were many exceptional swims and personal bests were broken by almost all swimmers. Our IM swims were particularly good and the benefit of the training was obvious to see. |  |

| Gloucester Blocks - 2nd / 3rd February 2008 The first weekend of the blocks proved to be very successful for Soundwell swimmers. There were many exceptional swims and personal bests were broken by almost all swimmers. It was good to see a large turnout of swimmers and supporters whose vocal support was greatly appreciated. | Bristol North Sprint Gala - 19th January 2008 An outstanding performance in this unusual gala at Horfield Leisure Centre. The mixed relays and head to head racing provided some interesting combinations. There were numerous Personal Bests and the use of the electronic timing made the event more interesting.
